Keynote Cindy Ames, Owner of Cindy Ames Coaching   
“Mind Over Matter: Harnessing the Power of Mindset for Optimal Health and Wellbeing” 

With two decades of experience in the senior living industry, including 13 years specializing in learning and development, Cindy Ames is a seasoned professional who brings a wealth of knowledge to her Mindset Coaching business. Offering personalized 1:1 sessions, group coaching, executive coaching, as well as Instructional Design and Training Facilitation services, Cindy is dedicated to empowering professionals and entrepreneurs to achieve their business goals and find fulfillment in life.

Driven by a passion for helping others succeed, Cindy employs scientifically backed methodologies in her coaching practice. By guiding clients through a transformative process, she helps them uncover and overcome the barriers holding them back. Through intentional thought selection, Cindy empowers her clients to achieve tangible results and unlock their full potential.

Beyond her coaching practice, Cindy finds joy in a variety of activities. Teressa Vaughn, MPT, MHA-G and CEO / Founder of EZAMAL LLC.,  
“The Thinking in Advance Healthcare Planning for Care Providers”  

Teressa Vaughn, MPT, MHA-G is an Advance Care Planning (ACP) Consultant and CEO / Founder of EZAMAL LLC. She worked for Sharp Healthcare as an ACP Consultant and is currently contracted with Gary & Mary West PACE as well as Care Connect MD where she assists patients with advanced illness and/or advanced age complete their healthcare directive, discuss goals of care, as well as caregiving options that meet their need.

She provides community and clinical education on advanced care planning and Physician Order for Life Sustaining Treatment (POLST). She retired from the US Army Chaplain Corps after 25 years of service and is an active family member Christ United Presbyterian Church (CUPC). She is also a full-time caregiver for her mother who has advanced Alzheimer’s dementia and a foster parent to adults with learning disabilities.

Andrea Voras, Gerontologist and Founder of SOCIAL BRIDGES 4 LIFE
“Our Amazing Brain” 

Andrea Voras, Gerontologist, has 23 years of experience working with older adults and adults with developmental disabilities. Andrea Voras worked at North Los Angeles County Reginal Center for 16 years as a Quality Assurance Specialist monitoring ARFs, RCFEs, CPPs, and Small Family Homes. While at North Los Angeles County Regional Center, Andrea Voras partnered in numerous occasions with LPAs, conducting annual reviews and investigations. Andrea Voras is a Dementia Care Specialist providing Dementia Care Management to adults who are experiencing MCI and symptoms of dementia. Andrea Voras holds ARF Administrator Certificate and previously worked for 3 years at Relias Inc., conducting training in person and online. Currently at Beyond The Sky Solutions as an instructor and consultant.

Michelle Herman, Educator & Founder of Sugar Sobriety   
“Addiction: Physical Disease, Mental Illness or Spiritual? Causes, symptoms and solutions to ponder”  

Michelle Herman
Michelle has more than fifteen years working in the senior care industry at places such as Somerford Place, Seasons of La Jolla, inside and outside sales for assisted living and coordinator at UCSD Alzheimer’s clinical studies. Michelle can communicate in Portuguese and Spanish with polite conversation in French and Hungarian. She continues her membership with the Alzheimer’s Community Care Consortium by providing support to their education committee. Herman feels since there is no cure coming soon, we need to provide care at the highest level possible.

Jatana Williams, Founder/CEO of Beyond the Sky Solutions  
“Brainstorming: Renewing our Minds”

Jatana A. Williams is the founder of Beyond the Sky Solutions LLC. She has 30+ years of professional healthcare experience. Jatana has been a residential care for the elderly (RCFE) administrator, train the trainer for end-of-life nursing education Consortium-Veterans Administration (ELNEC-VA), and physician orders for life-sustaining treatment (POLST). She has volunteered on the steering committee(s) for the Caregiver Coalition of San Diego, San Diego Compassionate Care Coalition, and the Residential Care Facility for the Elderly Disaster Preparedness Taskforce. Williams is known in the caregiving community through presenting at healthcare seminars, forums, and conferences. She has won several awards in customer service, communications, and creative works. Williams believes in supporting those who support the elderly and disabled. “Treat every senior the way you want to be treated once you get the honor of being one.” She holds a B.S. in business administration from the University of Phoenix. Jatana is also studying the Word of God and helping others in their walk with Christ and writing.
