Parkinson’s disease (PD) is a type of movement disorder. It happens when nerve cells in the brain do not produce enough of a brain chemical called dopamine. Sometimes it is genetic, but most cases do not seem to run in families. Exposure to chemicals in the environment might play a role. ARF & RCFE care providers caring for someone with PD can run into some challenges, especially as the disease progresses. This 4-hour CEU will assist ARF & RCFE administrators in navigating care via an in-depth understanding of the disease.

Residents feel like there is no meaning and can be overwhelmed with feelings of regret and remorse. This 3-hour ARF & RCFE CEU, we will discuss taking spirituality into consideration as caregivers, to help residents with these emotions, find forgiveness and acceptance.  Disclaimer: This course has biblical content.

Conflict is a normal part of any healthy relationship. After all, two people can’t be expected to agree on everything, all the time. The key is not to fear or try to avoid conflict in the workplace but to learn how to resolve it in a healthy way.  During this 3-hour ARF & RCFE CEU course, the instructor(s) will review the various aspects of conflict resolution and conduct group exercises to learn skills that can help ARF & RCFE CEU administrators and other caregiver team members resolve differences to build stronger and more rewarding workplace relationships.
