Course Overview:
This four-hour course will review the information provided in Provider Information Notice (PIN) Summary PIN 22-24-ASC which provides guidance to licensees in collaborating with home health agencies (HHAs) and hospice agencies to provide care to residents in Residential Care Facilities for the Elderly (RCFEs) from a regulatory, staying in compliance standpoint.
This course is not an exhaustive list of the responsibilities related to working with HHAs and hospice agencies. It is the responsibility of the licensee to ensure all statutes and regulations are followed.
Learning Objectives:
By the end of this course, attendees will be able to:
- Identify the responsibilities of the different home health and hospice agencies involved in care of their residents.
- Collaborate with home health and hospice agencies on care delivery that is optimal for resident and keeps RCFE in compliance.
- Specify the various observations of residents that need to be made to ensure resident centered care is delivered.
- Address protocols for communication and sharing of information about resident related to care plan
