Instructors will provide an overview of strokes, with a special emphasis on the management of the motor and non-motor symptoms caused by this condition adn how to provide quality care in response to these symptoms. Attendees will learn various ways to manage such symptoms and help prevent future strokes, through the perspective of using empathic communication, care, and supportive rehabilitation services.

This course will help administrators better understand key aspects of hospice care and a review of the benefits of having hospice in their business. Discussion will include Hospice’s focus on caring, not curing. Where hospice is provided, who hospice is available to and how it is paid for. This course will review Hospice Self Assessment Guide key points regarding waivers and working with agencies.
