 Living Beyond Dementia: Implications for Empathic Care – RCFE #433-0411-27502   ARF #433-0411-27617

This four-hour course meets the requirements toward the 40-hour recertification program for assisted living and board and care operators. The purpose of this course is to provide an overview of the various forms of dementia, with a special emphasis on the management of the behavior disturbances that are characteristic of this condition. Attendees will learn various ways to manage such disturbances, through the perspective of using empathic communication. At the end of the course, attendees will be equipped with the necessary skills to care for an individual with Alzheimer’s disease or other related dementia.
